    Originally from Decatur, Ill., I spent my growing taller years in Michigan (M Go Blue), but, came to life when I moved to Florida in 78'.

    Early on John Prine, Jimmy Buffett, Jerry Jeff Walker, Steve Goodman & Jim Croce played a large part in my musical life. Their music has been & always will be, motivational to me. LONG MAY IT PLAY!!!

    My songs shape themselves from the everyday life around me. Personal experiences, the state of world affairs, developers, lame moves by politicos & Supreme Court decisions, there's plenty to keep the juices flowing. But, MOST of all, my songs are whiny, yet good natured, "rants" about life in this beautiful state that I'm lucky enough to call home.

     For a time my life had been about taking care of my family, working a “regular” job to pay the bills & playing any & every gig that came my way. Just a back porch picker, writing & playing for no one in particular. Life was good. Then one day I gave a rethink to what was important & jumped off the cliff. It's been a kaleidoscope fall. There have been some scary times, lean times, fat times & times of much confusion but, I’d do it all over again. Only next time, I’d start earlier!

    From selling watermelons on street corners to setting sail for France off the coast of New Smyrna Beach, it's been...ONE HELLUVA RIDE……and life is STILL good!!
